Testimonials

Dan Jenkins – Senior Legal Officer, GESB

"I'm a big fan of Hearsay the Legal Podcast - being able to select podcasts and review material that I'm interested in has been a great way to stay informed and obtain my CPD points."

Bernard Hill | Legal Counsel, Consultant and RAAF Reserve Legal Officer

"Being able to meet my CPD requirements by listening to your range of guests as I went on my daily walk has been excellent. I have an enthusiasm and lots of ideas about ‘alternative’ ways of practising Law, and your creativity in producing Hearsay is affirming. Looking forward to future episodes - and not just to tick the CPD box!"

Jude Davenport – Student

"Hearsay The Legal Podcast offers an impressive range of resources for students and practitioners the like, featuring guests that bring a wealth of practical experience to the table. Thorough, topical discussion of contemporary legal practice within both hallmark and niche areas of the law, making any given episode well worth the listen!"

Io Jacobson – Principal Solicitor at Turnstone Migration

"I have some very intense conversations with David in my car from time to time as I’m listening to your podcasts on the way to work. It is actually such a refreshing way to do CPD and you’ve got my subscription forever."

Natalie Maciel – Student

"Perfect mix of a reality check coupled with grounding encouragement to carve out my own legal career."

Taylor Harding – Student

"My favourite legal podcast! The casual interview format is so much more engaging, the guests cover such a wide variety of specialty topics, and all of the content is broken down and explained simply and with easy to understand anecdotes. Great tool in your educational toolbox!"

Dr Romina Santos Reyftmann – Zeiler Floyd Zadkovich | National Justice Project

“I love Hearsay and recommend it a lot to people. It helps with my time management as a busy parent, who likes to multitask when I’m commuting or doing some chores. It’s an efficient way to complete a lot of our CPD requirements and has helpful infographics for visual learners, audio for aural learners like me, and quizzes for those who like to consolidate. Their 1-2 pages summary sheet is also great as an overview of how the law can be applied in practise. I also like that David has a lot of experience and emotional intelligence, as the questions he asks are well researched and nuanced, as he listens well to the people he interviews and weaves through his questions in the moment. It doesn’t feel overly produced but organic. Keep up the great work!”

Tim Tyrrell – Survival Emergency Solutions

"I'd forgotten how easy it is to use Hearsay for my CPD. Not to mention the relevance of the episodes. Well done! An amazing service in this time poor world."

Tanya Amarasingham – Senior Legal Counsel, NAB

"I've been listening to Hearsay for a few years now and find each episode engaging and full of practical legal insight. I love how I can listen to the podcast when it suits me especially while working from home or being able to pop on an episode while I go for a walk. The guests are well chosen and passionate about their subject areas and David leads the conversation thoughtfully, always asking the questions i'm interested in."

Katherine Allsop – Special Counsel, Litton Legal

"What I like the most about the Hearsay podcast is the ability to obtain relevant CPD content on demand at a very reasonable price. The range of topics are great for me as a commercial lawyer - the topics cover a lot of what I do and what I'm interested in learning about.

Nicole Mouyat – Associate, Armstrong Law Partners

"The perfect platform for anyone who is looking for up-to-date and stimulating content at a very fair price!"

Sean Payne – Commercial Manager, Coras

"Informative, interesting, and fun! David does a great job of balancing casual (entertaining) conversation with getting very practical advice and insight from his guests. A must listen for any lawyer looking for a fun, practical way to stay informed and meet your CPD requirements all at the same time."

Katherine Allsop – Special Counsel, Litton Legal

"For me, I love the idea of being able to listen whenever I can. So often CPD seminars are at set times and there is no way of knowing in advance whether you are going to be able to get away at the relevant time."

Listen to an episode on your computer or phone, while at work, walking the dog, exercising, commuting, gardening or playing croquet, you decide!

Guests on Hearsay have varied backgrounds, they include specialized lawyers, academics and professional advisers, such as psychologists, economists and management consultants. All episodes include a transcript, bio of our guests, an overview highlighting the legal concepts discussed in the episode, an infographic and e-learning modules that provide instantaneous results.  For more information on each guest, go to our episode page where you will find all of our episodes and the bios of each guest.

Episodes vary between 50 and 75 minutes in length. They focus on interviews and ‘story-based’ learning, just like the podcasts we all love listening to. But they are so much more, as each episode also provides technical or substantive legal content around the framework of a particular guest’s story or experience.
